FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you do direct billing to insurance?
Only for First Nations Health Authority coverage. For all other extended health insurance plans, a detailed PDF receipt is provided within 24 hours of payment via email with all the information required for you to submit for reimbursement.
How soon will I see results?
This varies from person to person. Some individuals feel better even before treatment begins, as taking the first step to reach out and book an appointment already brings about a sense of hope. For those who have experienced trauma, attachment issues, or have high social anxiety or neurodevelopmental concerns, it may take longer to build trust and rapport before more in-depth treatment can begin. Unlike the public sector, clients and families can progress at their own pace with Karen. Depending on the severity of the mental health concerns, sustained and effective treatment can be completed within 3-12 months. Most people see change and positive results within the first five weeks.
Do you have afterschool, after work, or weekend availability?
Absolutely! Karen knows how challenging it can be to balance work, school, and self-care needs. Karen wants to ensure mental health services for children, youth, and families are accessible with the least amount of disruption to the regular routines and responsibilities of life. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions in the late afternoon/early evening on some weekdays, as well as weekend appointments. Book online or contact Karen directly for availability.
